Finding Problems Before They're Problems.
In the Retail industry, lost data means lost revenue. Even with backup generators and reserve equipment, systems can and do still fail. For instance, in one large retail chain, a key server developed a problem with logging. Instead of clearing each day as it was supposed to, the log file kept growing in size, and the disk became critically full. iGLASS notified the chain’s IT staff and the server vendor, allowing them to take immediate action and avoid a costly outage. If the hard drive had filled up, the system would have crashed, directly affecting revenue.
This particular customer had planned ahead and assigned a backup generator to each of its key locations. Unfortunately in this case, the backup generator failed to start. But because iGLASS also monitors this customer's UPS and generator status, we immediately alerted the company, which quickly dispatched a technician to start the generator manually before the UPS ran out of juice. iGLASS saved the company from lost customer data, lost revenue, and undoubtedly enormous frustration and chaos.
