iGLASS Increased Visibility
into Easton Utilities’ Network
Health and Performance
Easton Utilities is a municipal provider of electric, natural gas, water, broadband cable, internet and phone services for residents and businesses around Easton, MD. In just the first few months of service, Easton was able to use iGLASS to track down and eliminate previously difficult to diagnose network issues and resolve customer complaints.
“Through utilizing the iGLASS system, our support technicians can quickly identify issues
and many times resolve problems before customers are impacted. […] The iGLASS system
has proven to be an invaluable resource at a very competitive price.”
Ted Book, Director of Cable & Communications
The Perfect Fit
Easton was looking for a monitoring service for their DOCSIS cable modems and Cable Modem Termination Systems (CMTS). They only had command-line visibility into the health of the modems and CMTSs, which greatly limited access to just a handful of headend technicians and hindered their customer service. iGLASS Networks seamlessly fit with Easton to keep tabs on the health and performance of their cable plant and related services. iGLASS offers remote access from any browser on any device, giving direct visibility to Easton’s installers, maintenance technicians, customer care, and management. Easton also has geospatial views thanks to iGLASS’s MapQuest integration.
Expanded Monitoring Services
Onboarding took minimal time, and iGLASS opened Easton’s eyes to more robust monitoring capabilities. Prior to the partnership, Easton was unaware that set-top boxes could be monitored. Following a personalized demo, however, Easton couldn’t wait to try out the possibilities in their own live environment. What started as a no-cost, no obligation, 30-day evaluation turned into a years-long relationship still going strong.
